NMC Announces Phase Two Expansion of NMC Campus

The New Media Consortium today announced the expansion of the NMC Campus from a single “sim“ to seven sims, the virtual equivalent of growing from 16 acres to 112 acres of space. Included in the expansion plans are a film/machinima/theater complex and a life sciences/medical complex. Artists on the Green

We had quite the turnout yesterday for our Artists on the Green event, where both art and its creators were both assembled on NMC Campus to dialogue about art in Second Life. At the Friday night session at the NMC 2006 Summer Conference, we were fortunate enough to have as guests on our real world, Giff Constable and Sara Van Gorden of the Electric Sheep Company, part of the creative team that built the NMC Campus.
