Preparing for SL Pro!
published 04.Feb.10 by Chris Holden

Following on from Beth’s post I thought I’d post a couple of sneak peeks of the venue we’re constructing for the event. It’s been quite a challenge, though one we’ve had some prior experience with over at Hakone, our stand-alone sims hosted at Case. 2 Venues, seating for up to 400 avatars, simultaneous multimedia presentations across 4 sims, art, support facilities and much more! Of course I’m also working on my own presentation for the conference, in which I’ll be attempting to not only give an overview of most aspects of developing a large job in SL, but trying to give some detailed technical tips & tricks I use along the way. All in 45 minutes…
On a personal note I’m travelling to Japan on vacation soon and hope to come back further inspired to build in SL by the amazing range of hyper modern & tradional Japanese architecture & environments I’ll be visiting. It’s easy to forget how as creative professionals we need to be exposed to new places, things & ideas to remain fresh & original.
