Keynote at SLCC Convention

published 22.Aug.06 by Alan Levine

Larry Pixel honored to have been invited to provide a keynote presentation for the Education in SL track at the 2006 Second Life Community Convention, held last weekend in San Francisco. This session was sponsored and arranged by the folks on the Second Life in Education Mailing List (great job, guys!).

Larry decided to present sans PowerPoint, and instead, used all of the resources available on NMC Campus to talk about our work there. This included our “Seriously Engaging” movie, the NMC Campus Observer, our campus guide wiki, some in world art and books, and much more.

He also talked a bit about the future expansion plans for NMC Campus, which are very exciting, and will be described here ASAP. Pixel made an incredible number of powerful connections at this real virtual conference.
